Today Tether announces its first full financial audit for Tether International, conducted by KPMG U.S. which resulted in an unqualified clean opinion, marking the highest result possible.
An unqualified opinion is the best possible audit opinion an independent auditor can issue.
(“unqualified” in accounting jargon means without reservations — not that the audit was incomplete).
Tether’s financial audit, by at least an order of magnitude, is the largest inaugural audit in the history of finance. My congratulations go to the entire Tether team and especially to our Finance function, which demonstrated its ability, precision and commitment to complete this review process within the highest standards across the whole digital assets and global financial industry. We couldn’t be more proud.

BREAKING: Tether heeft zojuist zijn eerste volledige onafhankelijke financiële auditverklaring gekregen van KPMG.
En het was een onvoorwaardelijke, de schoonste auditopinie die mogelijk is.
KPMG heeft de activa, passiva, transacties, systemen, tegenpartijen, waarderingen van Tether geverifieerd EN fysiek elke goudstaaf geïnspecteerd.
Tether had ook $6.814B meer reserves dan passiva.
Jaren van "Tether is een fraude" FUD zijn nu veel moeilijker te verdedigen.
De markt gaf ons deze week een nuttige realiteitscheck.
Het BTC spotvolume daalde naar het laagste niveau sinds de start van Glassnode’s serie in 2019. Amerikaanse spot BTC ETF's verloren $385M nadat ze de week ervoor ongeveer $865M hadden ontvangen, terwijl de open interest in futures nu een volledige dag aan futuresvolume overschrijdt.
In gewone taal: verkopers raken mogelijk moe, maar kopers zijn nog niet echt teruggekeerd. De massa positioneert zich voor het herstel voordat de vraag dit heeft bevestigd.
ETH toont een andere variant van dezelfde divergentie. ETF-stromen waren bijna perfect vlak, maar 2,18M ETH wacht bijna 38 dagen om te worden ingezet voor staking. Meer dan 34% van de voorraad is al gestaked.
Ondertussen bleef adoptie zich verwijderen van de prijsgrafiek.
Tether voltooide zijn eerste volledige audit door de Big Four. Een door Standard Chartered geleide onderneming begon met de uitrol van een gereguleerde HKD stablecoin. Securitize bereikte ongeveer $5B aan onchain activa, hoewel de resultaten ook lieten zien dat een stijgende getokeniseerde AUM niet automatisch leidt tot stijgende inkomsten. Coinbase voegde stablecoin-betalingen van AI-agenten direct toe aan zijn zakelijke checkout.
Dat is de opstelling om in de gaten te houden:
De marktvraag is nog steeds fragiel, leverage is overvol en liquiditeit is dun. Maar stablecoin-, staking- en tokenisatie-infrastructuur blijven zich eronder verder ontwikkelen.
Crypto kan nuttiger worden terwijl de markt saai blijft.
Historisch gezien is het scheiden van die twee tijdlijnen waardevoller geweest dan doen alsof elke adoptie mijlpaal de prijs onmiddellijk moet laten stijgen.
