$SOL issues 62,786 new tokens per day, while the on-chain fees collected daily amount to $930,000, which converts to only 8,500 tokens.
Neither number is an estimate; one is calculated from the chain's inflation parameters, and the other is the actual fees recorded by DeFiLlama. Token issuance doesn't wait for buyers; it happens as per the parameters, but fees are only collected if users actually transact on the chain.
